Black screen on my NDI PTZ camera when I open my last vMix session

My PTZ NDI camera was working just fine. Now that I've logged back in to vMix I am getting a black screen. The preset positions work just fine but I have no picture. If I log into the camera online into its IP address I can see the picture & the camera is working just fine.
When I go into the settings for the camera input in vMix and select "Change" the camera shows up but I get the rotating circle like it is not completely connected. That never goes away.

The same happened to us once on a production. I had shut down both vMix and the camera. I turned on the camera first then turned vmix with an empty preset, then I started adding inputs one by one again.
I know how silly this looks, but it worked out eventually.
