Have USB cameras (Logitech C930e and Logitech C920) input to VMix.
Only in VMix the preview and output screens flicker.
System camera app shows no flicker.

Have NVidia GEForce MX130
Have updated NVidia drivers
VMix using NVidia in settings

Help Please.

Alan,

Take a look at this thread... it may have a clue
https://forums.vmix.com/...itchy-video-with-Vmix-23

You and I can do some additional testing

I checked Logitech for webcam drivers as per the thread. Logitech itself does not seem to have specialized drivers. I found "driversupport.com" but searching on it gives me concern whether it is legit.

Just checking some more. That thread mentioned recurrence of flicker after upgrading to USB 3.0. My Lenovo has USB 3.0 hub. could that be the problem?

Alan,

One of my new computers is a Dell 2-in-1 with an mx230 with a c920, a c930e, and a c925e
It’s exhibiting the same unstable graphics that you mention when using the latest nVidia drivers
When I disable nVidia, vMix behaves properly, so I have done that, at least temporarily
I don’t know if this is a vMix issue or an nVidia issue... or both.

Just tried same cameras on an older HP Envy computer. No nVidia.
Appears to be very stable.
Will try disabling NVidia.

Need help to disable NVidia.

In VMix, went to settings > Performance.
The only selections are: "Default" and "NVdia"
Default goes to NVdia.

Any other way to disable NVidia?

Alan,

close vMix, and in the nVidia control panel, in the 3D settings page, turn the display adapter to auto-select instead of the high performance adapter

with the NVidia disabled, the camera flicker disappeared. I could display both cameras and a multiview.
Received my USB 3.0 HUB, plugged both camera into this hub.
Now I can only have 1 camera.
VMix generates a system resource error when adding the second camera. (either one)

Further, Tried the same setup on older HP Envy PC
HP Envy generated the same error.

It would appear that VMix has a problem with USB 3.0

My workaround
Use the older HP envy laptop since the cameras are stable on it and it has 4 USB ports eliminating the use of USB hub.

I don't know if or when VMix will get happy with USB 3.0.

What else could I do?

Alan, do not plug two USB 2.0 cameras into a usb2 or usb3 hub. Your cameras are all usb 2.0 so they really need to be on separate usb channels

If I can add to this discussion - I had zero issue with the camera flickering until I performed a fresh install on Windows 10 today. Now I am having the flickering issues he is speaking about.
