I would submit this as a bug report rather than post here as vMix doesn't monitor the forum (according to their last live stream.

Well noticed through!

vMix staff monitor this forum site but not 3rd party social media groups/communities/pages etc. This forum, and directly emailing support, is the right location for bug reports and feature requests.

I am trying to use the Web API and TCP API to update texts in an title input.

The documentation stated the following:

SelectedName name is however faulty. It does not work. Nothing is happening when trying to execute functions with this parameter. However - SelectName works.

So please update the documentation or streamline whether to use SelectedName or SelectName.

Thanks

Hi Jens

this is weird as to me this works

http://127.0.0.1:8088/api/?Function=SetText&Input=titleName&SelectedName=Description.Text&value=Myname

But if SelectName is used it defaults to the first item in the title

I do often change the title input name to something easier to use rather than the standard one
