Minimally, a hash mark at reference level, and have the "unlit" meter background be dark green / yellow / red so we can judge where the levels are with respect to the range thresholds of the meters.

The developers are concerned with screen real estate with regards to these requests, but some hashes or a few key dB numbers between the left / right meters wouldn't take much.

Hovering the mouse over the meter to see the dBfs number is frequently suggested, but is impractical during busy productions. At a glance is key on this matter.

I'd like to not only add a +1 but I would also like to add the function of loudness monitoring, with the different standards of loudness regulations.
