Hi Normally, when recording a vMix live production, I edit the recordings in either Resolve on PC or FCPx on Mac. All of a sudden, the files from our 3 latest products seems unreadable. - I cannot play the files in Windows - I cannot import the files back into vMix - I cannot open the files in FCPx on Mac - I tried running one of the recordings through vMix Videotools and not even this file is any good afterwards As I see it, the files should be plain ProRes .mov's and normally, this would be just fine. Here's my setup in vMix - any one got a clue? Udklip.JPG (84kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

I had the same problem of not being to play the videos suddenly. My work around (and don't ask me why it works :-) is to load the video into movavi video converter, convert it (mp4 to mp4 which takes about 5 seconds), it gets 2K larger, but it is a normal MP4 at that time. Amnon

You have to do indexed files for normal playback. You can fix un indexed with vMix video tools Screenshot (206).png (18kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

Remember, indexed files aren't fault tolerant if the recording is terminated unexpectedly. That's why the unindexed version of the files is available in vMix.
