Why not just use a proper mixer and not rely on software to do what hardware would do better and more accurately?

because there are some times you need internal buses internally while you handle external audio differently. Case in point, more than 3 locations using vmixcall. I have two remotes feeding one master venue. I have to send the audio to the remotes across the two buses in stereo...what am I supposed to do if I need to add another remote location? The audio in each location is audible over the venue sound sytem in each location. Without additional buses I wouldn't be able to route audio properly to a 4th, 5th, 6th location...this is becoming a real issue for me suddenly. I need more buses.

+1 so i could make a proper mix minus (n-1), using it as video conference tool in a live tv show. finally i want to have each caller as single audio output and give to each caller a specific mix minus sound from the external sound desk. now wa are making this with 4 RIEDEL skype devices (sdi in/out, xlr audio in/out)

+1 for being able to stream several languages in parallel. Currently the limit is 3 languages with Master, Bus A and Bus B.
