Hi there,

We are building 2 new stations to operate All NDI environment, no need to go 4K

Regular use will be :
> 3 NDI Inputs from Bird Dog P200 ptz
> 2 NDI|Hx Inputs from Spark Connect devices
> 2 NDI Outputs
> 1 recording channel
> 1 Streaming up to 1080p60

Equipment will be travelling a lot, by train or car, with "care".
We need to rack it in the Gator GRR-8L roling flycase

Thus we would like to use a 3U Rackmount case, any advice more thena welcome!

GPU - ASUS GeForce GTX 1660 Ti DUAL-GTX1660TI-O6G
CPU - Intel Core i7-8700K (3.7 GHz)
Memory - Ballistix Sport AT 32 Go (4 x 8 Go) DDR4 2666 MHz CL16
Power - Seasonic FOCUS Plus 550 Gold
Storage - Kingston KC2000 M.2 PCIe NVMe 2 To
Cooler Master GeminII M4 + Noctua NF-A6x25

+ Optional = would this system handle an additional 1 input capture card?

How does it sound to you guys?
This will be our 2 first custom builds, unfortunately budget is a concern...

Many thanks for your help/comments
Not read that much in the forums on the i7-8700K, nor on the GTX1660Ti..?

You need to watch the height of the GPU. Often you need a 4RU case for them to fit.

Thanks for your input

True, this is one of our concern

The case is 133.35 mm height, and the 1660Ti is advertised as 121.00 mm

4U all the way. I made that mistake.
Also have to remember power connectors on most GPU
are on top of cards which adds more height.

If you must go the 3U route, take a look at these low profile 90-degree GPU power cables from Kareon Kables. Bailed me out a time or two.

Take a look at this 2U Case from Plink, with riser card and cage for GPU.
Might be an option also. I was looking at this one for a client, before going to a 4U case..

Maybe you guys have some thoughts about the GPU match : 1660 Ti vs 2060 ?
