Apologies if this has already been asked:
With the release of v22, is there a way to have both 22 and 21 installed at the same time so that one can revert back to 21 in the event of an issue?
Thanks!

22.0.0.48 Id:s for keys pressed when creating shortcuts for Stream Deck are absolute for the currently selected Profile in Stream Deck. I believe this is a serious issue. For example, one cannot copy a Stream Deck profile that is setup for vMix and then use it without re-finding all the keys. (Doggy pointed this out a month ago, at that time I did not understand what he meant).

How are you copying the profile? By design StreamDeck associates each button with a unique id depending on profile and this is the only way for vMix to identify the key.
I believe if you copy or clone the profile this is the same as creating a new one with the same button layout, therefore finding the keys again is required.

I have tried both Duplicating a Profile in the Stream Deck app, and Exporting to a file and then Importing it. Both methods result in that vMix does not recognize the keys. Originally Posted by: admin By design StreamDeck associates each button with a unique id depending on profile and this is the only way for vMix to identify the key. I was afraid of that. I have too little experience with the Stream Deck. But from my current state of mind that's bad API design from Elgato. Hmmm, I'll ponder on how the key re-finding somehow can be enhanced/facilitated. I've got a vague idea that perhaps vMix could offer a procedure like showing the Stream Deck shortcuts one at a time, and for each ask the operator to press the corresponding key on the Stream Deck. In any case, it seems to me that the vMix Stream Deck support will be sort of limited/tied to the PC where the shortcusts are defined. OK with some users I guess, but rather useless for our production methods (multiple vMix production units, building new productions from old, interchanging units, etc).

updated: no problem. vmix 22 - a new milestone!
noticed also desktop capture is now v22.00.01 but i this update is not specified! is it backward compatible with older versions like 21 and did anything change? if yes what if no why change the version number.
for my work having desktop capture aligned to vmix is vital. it is installed on various laptops and computers separate from vmix install for capturing lectures and presentations.
please mention in the changelog ( also for future major updates )

I have mentioned this before after previous releases. I would very much welcom a fixed release date for major updates. let's say Februari 1st global update day.
this way updates and licences can be more aligned. up until release day a beta can be used.
then I don't know if there is an update warning if licencee is not entitled to the major update. it would be a problem if you update just before use and find your licence expired and vmix can not be used.
( i had to update twice in a row: first to 21.61 and after that to 22.... )

Martin and Co can you please have a check as it seems to be a bug with data sources and converting the rows to columns (takes 2nd data for the first one and again for second ) Using AUTO dataS.JPG (180kb) downloaded 5 time(s).EDIT: hmm even having more problems with another available Lineup Title EDIT 2 : guess i found what might be a problem .(Scoreboard 2-Lineup) , when the spaces removed in the TextBlock names all went well, editing the first TextBlockName (removing the space) in Scoreboard3 also solved the issue depicted above !!

Home-Team1.Text actually has a space between m and 1 for that field only. So technically it is a title labelling inconsistently rather than a bug. As users could already be using this template in productions do you think it would be ok for us to remove the space in the template? It would break any users manually data assigning to that row in existing presets, but on the other hand I do dislike typos!

Ok not a bug as i also found out before your answer Martin, as pointed out in my edit in my post other title(s) might have that problem
IMO i think best is for you to remove the spaces , changing the setting if one already uses these titles is minor

I see an issue with a trigger of more than 30000 delay (30 seconds).
I have a 'on completion' trigger set on a video input to fade to another input after a time of 60 seconds. No matter what value I set after 30 seconds it transitions at 30 seconds and no more.
To get around it I set a delayed on completion trigger to turn off loop on the video input (doesn't do anything it just adds 30 seconds), then kept the fade delay at 30 seconds. The two add together to give me 60 seconds.
Assume that this is a bug hence my post.
Love vMix 22 though, thanks guys!
Alex

I keep trying to upgrade to v22 but Bitdefender keeps placing a quarantine on ..\AppData\local\Temp\is-(xxxxx).tmp files and installation fails.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi,
vMix licenses do not expire and you can continue to use version 21. Our purchase page has actually stated 12 months of free updates since the very first release back in 2010, but we have only enforced this twice so far.
Regards,
Martin vMix

Note that the price to update a Basic HD to version 22 is the same as buying a new Basic HD v22 license. So it likely makes sense to buy a new license and keep the old license as well to use on another machine, perhaps feeding NDI to version 22.
