Hey Everyone,

I know that there aren't a lot of us doing 4K production, but I have run into a weird problem.

I was running a GTX 1080 w/ 8GB of RAM and was regularly hitting 100% memory usage with all my Cameras and NDI sources.

So, I thought clearly I needed a card with more RAM. Enter the Titan RTX w/ 24GB of RAM. Sadly, I'm hitting 100% with the same number of sources.

Is this a problem with vMix not using all my GPU Memory? Or it is something else?

That's a useful answer.

So how big is this buffer?

It seems that a 4K input takes about 12% of this buffer? Am I in the ballpark?

I know that my stream is out of the ordinary.

We have 9 Cameras, 4 of which are 4K.
We're also using Titler Pro for our overlays which add another 3 4K NDI sources. (Looks like I may need to switch to GT Designer)

Also we have a number of inputs that have full screen overlay frames.

Overall, our stream looks great, and I'm happy I'm using vMix.

I'm just trying to come up with solutions that I can implement with greater knowledge of the internals.

Try enabling high input performance mode in vmix

Details here https://www.vmix.com/kno...2/optimising-performance

I am using Vmix from 6 years. I have read all patch notes sines then. All knowlegebase, and i can't accept 3 different GPU-s, 2 different configuration and same performance. Next step is RTX 2080 TI and Radeon 7. 2 weeks i am reading game forums, Nvidia forums and DirectX forums to understand what is going on.

Faced the same issue and was not able to find any way to change the GPU memory cache size.

BUT!
Just today found a workaround that helped remove this limitaton - Resizable bar:
https://www.vmix.com/kno...th-resizable-bar-support

Can confirm that it works like a charm on ASUS TUF X299 MARK2 + i9-7900X + GTX3060

Just don't forget to disable Compatibility Support Module (CSM) in MB bios, as recommended here:
