We setup a separate shortcut just for the live pause to prevent accidentally pausing cameras with existing shortcuts.

Bug? or feature?

Hi, I have been playing around with (virtual) PTZ with a joystick attached, the variable speed is really great!

I noticed, if you select a virtual input created with 'create input at this position', it is not possible to adjust the position with the joystick,
it is possible to do this with the mouse (on screen buttons). Bug or feature?

Another thing: could the speed sliders be used to set the max speed of the joystick? This would be a great improvement.

And finally, if the joystick loses contact, you have to restart vMix to enable it. Could a 'rescan' button be added?

regards, Rob

Hi,

I have possible bugs that are also in previous versions.

1) When input with some multiview layers is inserted in other input as multiview layer, crop doesn´t work properly. It doesn´t crops multiview layers of the inserted input.
2) When input is inserted into multiview layer, the input respects multiview tally information (that is correct behavior). But it respects the multiview tally even if the layer in multiview is disabled.

I hope I described it understandably. If not, please let me know and I will send you example projects.

Hi,

These are both by design. The crop only applies to an individual input, not all the layers at once.
Also, the checkbox for multiview inputs is for hiding them, but they are still supposed to be active in the input for things
like tally, audio mixing etc. To remove from tally they will need to be removed from the input.

Regards,

Martin

To confirm, all PTZ functions including Virtual are still 4K and Pro editions only.

Just a quick question. Are there plans to support PTZ control of NDI and NDI|HX cameras?

Currently PTZ in the NDI SDK is write only which means it does not support retrieving the current camera position.
Therefore it is not possible to use in vMix as that is a critical technical requirement of our implementation.

in looking into the recent post about API countdown functions not working i came across a possible bug

for example changing text with an api call of Title "Scoreboard 1- VBA.gtzip" always revert to changing the first text item (HomeTitle.Text) regardless of which specified say
http://127.0.0.1:8088/api/?Function=SetText&Input=3&SelectedName=AwayScore.Text&Value=yourtext (direct Browser input)

Edit; e similar issue arises with the classical titles and can it be confirmed the command has changed from SelectedName to Title ?

btw as i often use the numeric value (index) for the input and the title the issue is the same

EDIT again: Stupid me ; SelectedName when using the field name , SelectedIndex when Using the field index nr , got confused due to the schortcut edit mentioning "Title" for Selected field option ( i often check in the shortcut creation how the webAPI has to be build)

vMix Beta 22.0.0.46 has been uploaded

http://cdn.vmix.com/download/vmix22preview.exe

We're getting closer to the final release now hopefully. Thanks to all who have submitted bug reports so far!

* Added a number of new GT title templates including 4K options.
* Added vMix NDI Config utility to enable disable UDP in NDI 3.8.
* Fixed auto text shink bug in GT
* Fixed text entry bug in GT designer, where it may miss key presses.
* Fixed lower case bug in vMix Social when using Twitch.
* Fixed incorrect video padding on VLC Stream Input.
* Number of MultiCorder fixes. Improves reliability and also usability when changing folders for each source.
* Fixed issue where vMix AVI recordings would not allow seeking of audio in Windows Media Player and vMix.
* Fixed second hidden window issue showing in task bar.
* Fixed stream deck thumbnails caching older preset images when switching between presets and profiles.
* Added SelectedName API support for countdown functions
* Installer now checks for the presence of "ByteFence" before installing as this software is considered malware
that interferes with a number of key functions of vMix.
* Added ability to select the Output to record in Recorder 1 to facilitate clean feed recording separate to the stream.

It looks like the event clock is changed. Its missing the horizontal bar from 0 to 100%.

You will need to check the checkbox next to End Time and specify a time to have a progress bar.

Hello,

First I have to say that the new version of Vmix is really great and I love the GT Designer. I don't care about spending 60$ for this update, it's a bargain compared to other things I need for my service.
There is one thing that could be very helpful and I couldn't find any information about it. I use the VLC RTSP input to pull streams from bonding encoders in the field to Vmix. These encoders can deliver H264 and H265.
Due to the old version of the VLC plugin I can't input H265 directly. I have to transcode the stream first to H264 in the cloud which costs me based on the number of cameras and data a lot of money and additionally I need more bandwith for the download. So an updated VLC plugin will solve this issue. Is there something planned for Vmix 22 or for a future update? I think a direct ingest of h265 will be more important in the future as there are more and more encoders coming on the market with this option.

I'm loving the update, and GT Title Designer is what I've been waiting for.

But is anyone else getting the "No Raster data has been found" when trying to import a PSD?

Yes. Remember to rasterize the shape layers or smart layers that You have in your PSD.

Had a lot of issues with Social feed today with preview 22.0.0.46.
They would not fire my overlay or update the content after the first 3 or 4.
And then after like 10 minutes or so it suddenly works again.
I have the impression that once I send 1 Facebook status, my twitter posts don't work anymore for xxx amount of time and /or facebook post.
Very bizarre. Change the overlay to a non GT solved the issue but as long as I don't use any Facebook posts.
