I'm trying to figure out why the new Logitech C930e is not working with vMix. I have the C920 too, and it works great. But the C930e has a very low frame rate, probably under 15 frames per second. I've tested the camera in other software, and it seems to work fine (30 fps). Anyone know what the issue might be?

Do you have them both plugged in together? It seems Logitech never realised their web cams would be used for live streaming and multiple camera setups; they were thinking single webcam on Skype or similar would be the only configuration needed.
So it appears even plugging the two cameras into separate USB busses, they will not work together. The control only adjusts the first cam to be set up and, as you have found, the whole quality etc is dreadful!

I've tried it both ways. I've tried both plugged in together, and plugged in separate. The C920 works like a charm. The C930e give a very low framerate. There must be some sort of incompatibility with the software. I don't have any such issues in Skype, Google Hangouts, etc., with the C930e, and it shows full 30 fps.
By the way, the controls work fine using the C920 and C930e together, since they use different software to control them. The different software works simultaneously to control each camera.
But the framerate on the C930e is the killer, if trying to use with vMix. Not sure why. Perhaps vMix can't utilize the built-in hardware H264/SVC compression of the C930e, or perhaps it is something to do with the UVC 1.5 encoding.

yes it seems there are problems using the 930e with VidBlaster too; same issues of frame rate, quality etc. But the c920 works just fine. I remember when Panasonic introduced the GS500 DV camera and people (who were expecting it to be an updated version of the GS400) were horrified to learn that this "new" camera actually had *less* facilities than its predecessor! (I still have my GS400)
Maybe the same kind of thing will happen here in that people go desperately searching for the "old" c920 to purchase, before it becomes completely unobtainable -:)

are you using the c930 in win 8 or win 7? in win 7 you should have the option to run the camera with the build in drivers, not using the logitech drivers. maybe this would benefit vmix recording.
i am stll trying to figure out if i can run the c920 in windows using non logitech drivers, but it seems win8 works differently. you could consider a downgrade to win7 if this will make your cam work.
based on this discussion i quickly bought a second c920 although i was consideting a c930 because of the wide 90degrees angle of field.

Solved the problem with Logitech c930e ???
I connect 2 Logitech c930e today. Result - very low frame rate! At first glance, Full HD about 15 frames per second.
Other applications work well with this camera.
What could be wrong? Maybe there is a third-party driver?
Or using applications such "YouCam" solve the problem?
I tried SplitŠ”am app and choose it as a source of "vMix".
This has no effect, anyway low frame rate.
Can someone use these applications to work with web cam?
Prompt, plz, and sorry for my English. ))

Same question as fey13.
Top end HP i7 laptop, 16GB RAM, 2 x 1TB SSDs, NVIDIA 635M graphics, etc.
Running Windows 8.1 Pro x64.
C930E works in other streaming applications without issue.

When adding c930e try changing the video format from "Default" to "MJPG". You should get 30 fps. That worked for me.
