Hi have a desktop capture that is not saving its size settings.

The desktop is being captured at 1600x900. When I went into the size option, one of them was .996. So I changed them all to a value of 1. This fixed the problem. However, when I close vMix and then open it back up, the size goes back to .996. No matter how many times I save the preset file, it always goes back to .996 resulting in a sliver of black on the left as shown in the video below at about 0:07. Any ideas?

Hi,

This is by design, if the aspect ratio does not exactly match 16:9 so vMix will add black bars
to keep everything proportional.

That said, if you change the option to .9999 it should save in the preset, but 1 signals vMix to correct the aspect ratio automatically.

Martin

Great to know thankyou!!

One Question, how does 1600x900 not fit into 16:9? Its perfectly divisible by itself.

You're right, it should match the aspect ratio exactly.
Is the size in Input Settings listed as 1600x900?

I just did a test at 1600x900 and no black bars were added (and also in the preset).

Regards,

Martin

Yes it is. That is the weird thing. When everything is at a the normal setting, ie "1"'s in all the size settings, the image looks correct. However, its only when I shut down vMix and load it up again that it happens.

My error, the resolution was actually 1366x768.

Somehow it was set at 1360x768. So I reloaded it to the correct 1366x768. However now when I open the preset the "Zoom Y" automatically reloads as 0.9995. Same issue. I reset it to 1 and everything is great. When I open it up, it changes back to .9995
