Is there any way to change the file format of the instant replay export function to perhaps a much more user friendly mp4 format or am I stuck with mpg?

Glad to see I'm not the only one here looking for this. I was hoping to find something like "Add this ffmpeg command to this scripting window and Bob's your uncle", but I guess not.

What we've been doing is setting up a dedicated folder for the resulting files, either locally or on the network, then using ffmpeg to transcode. I just discovered that I can encode using the GPU's internal video encoder while Instant Replay is still recording.

Quote:
ffmpeg -i D:\vMix Replay\export\yourfile.mpg -v:c h264_nvenc -b:v 20M D:\Replay MP4\yourfile.mp4

The benefit to this is that you don't pin your CPU at 100% usage like -v:c libx264 would.

Ideally, in the Instant Replay settings, there would be an Export tag to allow us to export and transcode all in one go.
