Please add the RTMP server to the VMix. I need this function for stream from the smartphone. Livestream Studio has this functionality and work great.

RTMP is the worst protocol choice to stream from a smartphone to vMix because RTMP requires a ... server.
Other streaming protocols like MPEG-TS, RTSP, MJPEG or even NDI just don't as they are based on point to point architecture, so they just work with vMix by default with lower latency and equivalent image and sound quality.

Check the "Stream" input : https://www.vmix.com/help21/Stream.html

Besides vMix offers a VLC plugin for vMix to extend this feature : https://www.vmix.com/kno...px/40/streaming-with-vlc

Here are a few selection of apps for Android that work well with vMix (same can be done from iOS)

- RTSP Camera Server : https://play.google.com/...ls?id=com.miv.rtspcamera

- Cam'On Live Streaming : https://play.google.com/...ails?id=com.spynet.camon

- and my favorite Screen Stream Mirroring, that not only captures screen but also the camera and supports a lot of different protocols : https://play.google.com/...bzapp.screenstream.trial
Free and Pro versions available.

Alternatively, there are apps for NDI assuming you have a powerful wifi
For Android : https://play.google.com/...?id=com.newtek.ndicamera
For iOS, I know at least 4 apps that do the same

If you want to stick to RTMP, there is a small app that was released a few days ago from Garanin which acts as RTMP server (sort of) and converts incoming feeds into NDI
I announced it lately on the forum here : https://forums.vmix.com/...ee-NDI-Apps-from-Garanin

Please also note that you can install the RTMP server of your choice on your computer, like Wowza, NGING RTMP or Mist to name a few. So I really don't see why vMix should do it. It seems you are confusing the role of vMix which is a Live Production software, not a Streaming Platform software.

Alternatively again, vMix Call allows to stream to vMix from a smartphone with no app at all, just a browser. It's builtin.

And finally if you had done a quick search on the forum before posting, you would have found all of the above already as this was discussed before and maybe you would not have submitted this useless feature request considering there are much better alternatives than what you ask for. FYI taking Livestream Studio as a reference is not a good idea. If it was that great, would you end up here using vMix ?

Guillaume

Thanks for answer but you did not understand me. For RTSP you need public IP. When you use a smartphone you do not have public ip and you can not connect from Vmix.

No solution proposed by you and no forum entry will solve this problem. When you use smarton on the public network and you do not have public IP, you will not connect it to Vmix. The "video call" function works very poorly, the picture and sound are terrible, even though the smartphone has a bandwidth of 20 Mbit uplink. First you did not mention you wanted to stream over the internet. You're right, I cannot "understand" what's not stated...

Second, I don't see how having a builtin RTMP server in vMix would solve this situation... You should think a little more before telling me such idiotic things.

Third, some of the apps I recommended DO SUPPORT streaming over the internet BY DEFAULT. All of them can be used over the internet one way or another.

Fourth, when it comes to establishing point to point connections over the internet, there are many available solutions to solve the public IP issue (DDNS, VPN, port forwarding, etc...). However it seems you do not understand what you're talking about and take things the other way around...

Maybe you should study a little more how networking works, how it's possible to stream from a smartphone to vMix either using a computer or a smartphone, from a LAN or the internet before submitting feature requests. This issue has been discussed many times on the forum and most of my solutions above can be used.

As of

Again you are drawing final conclusions over YOUR bad experience and poor knowledge. This forum is full of people that will say how good vMix Calls are when PROPERLY used. There are hundreds of shows every week that use vMixCall even from smartphones with excellent results... even in 720p. If you had searched the forum a little bit maybe you would KNOW...

So read again my answer, make sure to understand everything I said/recommended and maybe you will realize how much you have to learn before daring to tell people like me that my solutions do not solve your issue.
