Multiview could be a lot more flexible if we could have control of the mixing of the layers.
This would be like the alpha control on the overlays. It would allow someone to have a image with an alpha channel allowing it to be keyed, but then made semi-transparent in some cases.
Key invert would also be handy.

What is the use case for that. I don't get it.

Lots of reasons - See my post on drop shadows on the main discussion.
IF we had opacity and shortcuts to them - we may get to the point we could have layers fade in and out in the "MultiView" Now we are really talking about power control.

That's alpha channel keyed, and fully mixed into view. Use it semi-transparent in other places. That's alpha channel keyed, and partially mixed into view. We already have such capability in the overlays. It's just a question of allowing it in the multiviews layers. That would allow the multiview composites to be more sophisticated, without requiring a ton of prep work in Photoshop, and many more elements in the project.

+1 to opacity and an invert function. These are bread and butter tools making a lot of other creative uses easily possible.
Perhaps a soft edge function on the crop.

+1 huge benefit. I use 3 keys for one graphic with 3 separate parts, because I can't transition in a multiview, otherwise I'd use a multiview and transition, freeing up most of my keyers for other use.
