So I finally got around to digging out my Brio again, and connecting it to my system. I followed the information here... https://forums.vmix.com/...ts&m=55771#post55771

However, I get an error "Video Format not supported by device"

I've tried all the options, and it is the same error for all.

I can get it to work very well at 1080p, but nothing above.

I must say, this is now the best 1080 camera I have, but it's capable of 4k, and It appears to not have 4K options in either of the Brio camera options that work.

Am I missing something?

Maybe a silly question but do you have the 4K or Pro version?

Rudy

I have Brio and vMix 4K. They work together well enough. I could not use 4K until I upgraded from HD to 4K a few weeks back.

What version of Windows?

My system is Windows 10. In vMix I get offered two ways to add Brio:"Logitech Brio MF" and "Logitech Brio."

Logitech Brio MF results is less laggy performance.

Not sure if that would offered on older version of Windows.

Also, be sure the frame rate is 30f/s or less. Brio doesn't deliver 4k60.

Yes I am using Windows 10 Windows insiders version 180810-1706. I also get both versions, and both are limited to 1080-30. I'm not sure why I can't go higher in the 4k edition of vMix. I'm running a newly built Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 x399 with a 7280x i7 hexa-core 32 GB memory, GTX 970 and a 512GB Primary SSD drive, and a 1 & 2GB spinning drive (7200 rpm) to answer system questions.

I've had the Brio working on this system previously at a very high latency 4K. Not sure what could have changed from February to now other than windows and vMix updates.

I also checked my machine (Windows 10, 1803), works fine with "Logitech Brio MF", the following frame rates are supported and working:

NTSC 29.97p
NTSC 30p
FILM 23.976p
FILM 23.98p
FILM 24p

Maybe another silly question, just to be sure: USB port is capable of 3.0 and working fine?

Yes! Although I also have USB3.1 ports I don't recall trying.

I have now updated the firmware for the Brio, and re-installed the Brio software. No change currently. 1080p is max resolution I can set in vMix 4K.

There's something very odd about your system. Perhaps try using the Brio in OBS. I can get 4K from it there as well. The MS Camera app can also get 4K from Brio. It's the reference for using MMF to access the camera.

I downloaded and installed OBS, and it took a few minutes to figure out how to add a device, but when I did, the max resolution listed in it was also 1920*1080 for the Brio. I'm not sure why something is limiting the Brio's resolution.

Perhaps try disabling the Windows Frame Server as described here: https://www.mgraves.org/...dows-10-webcam-strategy/

Making progress with that link!
In the old Brio capabilities, I can go to 4k, but in the Brio MF, I can't choose anything.

And just like that, I am stuck at 1080 again. The old Brio option shows 4k as an option, but will not allow me to pick anything above 1080 again. WTF!

Seems something is amiss with your system. Maybe try creating new Windows profile and running vMix in there.
