Hi Martin, The right click to view overlays is excellent but please can you add it to the short cut menu so we can preview each overlay with a simple shortcut instead of right clicking. And while using the Multiview the right click overlays do not show, will this be supported soon? Thanks,
Ali

Found this by accident so I am not sure if this is a new feature or has always been there... Right click on the header of any input and it minimizes sideways, very cool. This will certainly help with screen estate for non-essential visual inputs.
Thanks Martin.

I have a suggestion
it would be useful to have the controls of VCRs dv firevire
play / stop / forward / backward
if there are any videotapes to control it would be convenient to do so directly by the vMix.

hi Martin,
testing v10 and especially mp4 recording, great new option.
i have about 20% of cpu usage compared to 4% with mpeg recording. very good. i noticed though that the incomming framerates vary when recording in mp4. when recording in mpeg a steady 40 40 40 40 is reported but when recording in mp4 the incomming framerate looks very unstable.
is this something to keep an eye on ? I presume incomming framerate is independent from processing selection! no droppedvframes or anything, just a different stream comming in....
i tried using bm decklink video capture over usb3 bm shuttle on my notebook. but noticed similar behaviour also on two testng desktop machines...
greetings, stefan

hi martin,
also noticed audio not in sinc when recording mp4 vs no problem when recording in mpeg. same session, samevsetup, only different recording settings.
ps can you make the recording setup window frame completely black. now a part of the ok / cancel section is grey and looks transparent on a gray background.
ps2 is it possible to add a close button in the lower left corner of the input windows. now you have to close it on the x in the right upper corner. same for all windows, like the statistics window. i frequently click the reset by mistake... would be greatbto have a large default close button on a fixed position like lower left corner of a window.
gr. stefan

Io l'ho parzialmente fatta ma poi l'ho rilasciata in inglese, la preferisco. Se vuoi indicazioni su come fare dimmelo che ti dico come avevo fatto io. Ciao

Another update has been release (10.0.0.52) http://www.vmix.com.au/download/vmix10preview.exeThis will likely be the final release before the final version, so please report any bugs and issues. Changes/Fixes* Overlay previews now show correctly in the MultiView output * Fullscreen set to an Input was not working on ATI/AMD cards * Preview/i buttons underneath each input changed to TV icon and Cog/gear icon * Increased accuracy of audio/video sync in recordings and streaming Regards, Martin vMix

God bless the work of your hands... regards, melody www.espiritosanto.cc

hi martin,
thanks for the update. did a quick test with mp4 recording vs mpeg recording, but the audio delay issue is still there. i look and hears like the audio s comming too soon, better the video has acdelay issue.
could you have a look at it. i tried both wdm input and decklink of the samevsource. further no issues reported in the info boxes, no drpped samples or frames or something. may it is due to mp4 encoding. do i need to re install drivers, completely remve and install vmix ( i just overwrite new versions of vmix when released) . do you want me to test something else.
greetings, stefan

Hi Stefan, Could you create a test recording showing the issue and email it to me alongside the recording log file? You can use the upload service here: https://fileobject.com/Regards, Martin vMix

hi martin, i have uploaded 2 video files and their log files. mpg and mp4.
i also removed vmix and reinstalled it and tried the 64 bit version. but the issue remains.
i will also do a quick test on one of my desktop computers. Any help is appreciated because we want to use the mp4 recording because of the reduced filesize it produces.
if i can do something to help you please let me know. what driver and codec is used to do the mp4 processing ? stefan

hi martin, update...
tried the following: using the delay option on the input i tried to influence the delay. i noticed an increase of about 4 seconds delay when setting the delay to 1 ms. could you have a look at it.
tested this on my desktop. no issues with settings at 0 ms. delay is audible through headphone and is recorded.
greetings stefan

Hi Martin,
Finally got time to test a little on the vMix10... wow! It really has all the promised features and some improvements to the GUI that hasn't been announced... Great!
The RTSP support (for Vivotek) has improved a lot!! But... I am still struggling a little with delays and audio... *Running in TCP mode I get a delay of ~0.4s at startup but then the delay can increase to 1s+ after 12hours (This is the same as vMix9 had) but now the audio seems OK and always in sync with video :-) *Running in UDP mode I get a startup delay of ~0.2s :-) and it seems to stay like this for a long time :-) but now the audio come/go -> disappear (64kb audio seems to work best). (Hasn’t had the time to test for 12h yet) All tests done with no latency checked 0 buffers
One more thing: Don't know if it is a bug or a feature but the position has a "Reset All", but clicking it does not reset all rotations only the "active" one, everything else is set to defaults. If you "activate" the other rotations and click Reset All also this will be set to default. Feature? For MultiView it might be an ide to reset to the default for selected MultiView?
Best regards Kjetil

hi martin, after our friday and sunday services, i think that v10 is ready to go to final release. it works simply wonderful. our 1080p - 50fps mixing, 1080p - 50fps mp4 recording and 360p - 25fps streaming was worked very well. the only one thing that i noticed was, knowing that we are using firewire connections for our 2 cameras, in some services, one of the cameras generate a little delay that is visible on the mixing. it does not occurs always. each one of them are connected on seperate firewire cards that are connected as far as possible on the motherboard. maybe this can be some thing easy to fix. great job martin, as always, with v10... vMix is the best. regards, melody www.espiritosanto.cc

Hello Martin, I too have used Vmix for a live event with this configuration: 2 cameras connected to a Blackmagic quad, 15 photos, 10 videos. All connected to a projector on the bottom stage. Duration of 3 hours. Registration mpeg2 8 mbps. All the 720X576 resolution. No problems to report, everything worked perfectly. Thanks for the work.

Hi Martin,
I know it's a small request, but it's it possible to extend the web API with the possible 'text' items for a XAML input (when requesting the status of the API) in the version 10 release?
e.g. <input .... textitem="Headline,Description">NewsHD.xaml</input>
where the sequence of the items matches the 'SelectedIndex'?
When available we can build a generic controller app for setting content in XAML inputs (in line with the various FLASH/CasperCG discussions).
Thanks.
Regards, Hanno.

Hi!
I wanted test the IP camera input option, but I have no IP cameras at the moment, so I started to broadcast a video with VLC via RTSP. VMix recognized it immediately, and it worked pretty well, but when the video reached the end, and begun to play the loop again, vMix had stopped to play the stream, and the input had frozen permanently.
Inspecting the input shot's settings, I found that the "recieved" field was still counting the incoming packets, so I assumed the program was still recieving the stream... I have to re-add the shot every time to make it work again. (There's no error message, though.)
I don't think that this issue would cause problems in a real life situation, beacause IP cameras will never reset(?) their streams, but maybe it could point out a more serious problem.
I'm going to buy an IP camera now to make more accurate test, I'll keep you updated if needed.
Keep up with the good work! Regards, G.

A new update is available (10.0.0.54) http://www.vmix.com.au/download/vmix10previewb.exeFixes: * Audio Delay function on some cameras did not work * Fade To Black was not working on external output * Fixed memory leak in automatic updating of image input Experimental Fixes: * Fix for MP4 audio sync issue * Added RTSP buffer management to hopefully resolve growing delay with IP cameras that have a clock that runs too fast Regards, Martin vMix
