vMix version : 21.0.0.41

I want to use multi-bitrate streaming with Akamai CDN.

Akamai requires streamnames formated like this : [eventname]_[angle]_[bitrate]@[entrypoint id] (ie: myevent_1_1500@12345, myevent_1_800@12345, myevent_1_500@12345)

Documentation says : "If your stream provider has given you a separate stream key for each stream, then configure these streams by selecting Custom Multi-Bitrate as the Destination dropdown and type in the separate URL and Stream Key for each stream."

But I'm unable to find "Custom Multi-Bitrate" in destination dropdown. Is it a documentation mistake ("Custom Multi-Bitrate" instead of "Custom RTMP Server") or an issue in my installation ?

I tested duplicate "Custom RTMP Server" for my 3 streams, but Akamai's entrypoint rejects stream 2 & 3 connections.

When using "Stream 1 Multi-Bitrate" as destination, vMix appends a stream index at the end of stream name, what is not suitable in my case.

Could you please consider allowing character replacement in streamnames when using "Stream 1 Multi-Bitrate" destination ? (like "%v", "%b" and "%i" in FMLE)

Did you try stream names such as this?

myevent_1_1@12345
myevent_1_2@12345
myevent_1_3@12345

codinlab,

The documentation was from the future and mentioned a feature not yet released, sorry about that!
The good news is this dropdown option now exists in vMix 21.0.0.42 which has just been released.

Hi Admin,

it seems that the option is again missing in vMix 21.0.0.55. There is no Custom Multi-Bitrate option:

God it, its only available if stream 1 is configured, then for stream 2 and stream 3 "Custom Multi-Bitrate" is available.

Should get updated here: https://www.vmix.com/hel...tm?StreamingQuality.html
