Has anyone had any luck getting the Datavideo HS-500 working with VMix? If so, what settings?
We're trying a SDI input using a Blackmagic Design DeckLink SDI 4K capture card.

If not, what's the best way of bringing multiple cameras into Vmix?

Sorry, but where to start? There is no SDI.
This HS-500 is a standard def Analog only device. You have a long way to go. You probably need more help that one forum post could do justice. Do you have local resources for help?

Forget about the datavideo switcher, just buy a multi input capture card like the Blackmagic Decklink Duo 2 or equivalent by Magewell, Aja, Yuan and so on.
This way, you have multiple cams inputs into vMix itself.

He probably only has composite video from his cameras, so that will be a bigger issue.

I have one here, used to output to vmix for streaming and mix on the datavideo. the customer wants to see something with lights and buttons.

tried using it as a midi controller but the midi is only input.

so i guess, now woth hd towards 4k... there is not a lot of options left.

understand there are some countries that still use sd broadcast so will try and sell it. if you are interested, let me know!
