Dundurs,

The MultiView output option displays up to 8 inputs at once so that might be suitable.
You can also create a MultiView input with the inputs you want to see and then set that as the fullscreen output.

Yes, but the problem is that Multiview also displays Preview and Output thus covering half of the screen, therefore 8 inputs are relatively small. At the same time Input and Output can already be seen on primary monitor relatively large. If there was a way to display 4 or 6 inputs on secondary monitor, this would help with adjusting focuss for individual camera, checking which camera delay had a better angle for replay, etc.

There is one issue I forgot to report:
When we work with at least 2 capture sources and respective video delay sources, after pressing Save for the first video delay, the saved video clip appears right after the first video delay. This means that the second video delay is pushed one slot further, thus destroying the respective shortcut and sometimes pushing it to input row 3 out of the screen and making some direcotrs pull their hair :)

Can Saved video delays be added always as the last input? I think It worked like this before, but Im not 100% sure.

Hi Dundurs,

Are the shortcuts that stop working set as "Local" shortcuts?
There is a bug where the local shortcuts will not remap correctly, but if the shortcuts are global it should be fine.

Would it be better if video delays are saved to a List instead of separate inputs?

Martin

I will have to test the shortcuts. At this point I only have received complaints that "important" inputs move to next slot as the delays are being saved, inevitably leading to the 3rd row.

Yes, it would be great if all video delays would be automatically added to a video list input. Its always better to have less inputs if there are already 20 inputs and its better to load one video codec instance instead of 50 instances. But it would still be better if video list would be added as the last input and not in the middle of other inputs (with a possibility to move it later).

Best regards,
Dundurs

Saved replays going into a list would be great for my workflow. I also have made mistakes due to inputs moving when a replay gets saved.

Would you have all saved clips going to the same list, or a list per video delay?

We would welcome all delays to be saved to one list, which would make it possible to play them all chronologically instead of getting 5 lists and not being able to play them chronologically.

Hello, I noticed that while in previous versions (v9.0) an multiviewer object could be overlay tο another (with all 6 Layer).
To Last preview version (10) overlay is only the first Layer of the video (only background).

Hi Martin!

Found some sync problem with HDV (and DV?) source (vMix beta 10.0.0.40 and earlier).
So, every now and then I get jerky movements from HDV source. After I use the reset function it does get the right sync for a while.

Some times I also get just black input for HDV-source when preset is loaded. The reset function gets it back.

Kind regards,

I can confirm that 10.0.0.40 resolves the recording codec issue I had.

Hi Jet,

Could you open an HDV source, go to the Input Properties and provide a screenshot of all the items listed under the Advanced section?

Thanks,

Martin

Hi Martin,

Nice work the new version. Small issue. Could it be that the SetText events via a shortcut do not work anymore?

Regards, Hanno.

Great work again, with vMix 10, Martin! You offered again some very handy new features I missed in earlier versions ;)

Some first comments on (10.0.0.40):

- Cropping influences the preview and live frame on inputs in multiview.
- I miss a grid, labels and modern layout on multiview.
- FTB is ignored on multiview's live-view

Is there any way to...
... adjust the multiview?
... show audio levels / active sources?

And short test (running for about half an hour) on using my cube 250 as an input worked fine, now!

Finally: Can't you think about offering a new license, with at least some more inputs and overlays for a reasonable price on small productions?

I would like it too!

Here is a suggestion.

"Medium HD"

Same as Basic HD, but with:

20 Inputs
10 Capture inputs
4 Overlay Channels

Price 149 AUD

Kind regards,
J. Tervo

LOL. Sweet idea. Do you really think the number of inputs or capture devices makes this product more expensive? Basically the difference between Basic SD/HD and "full" SD/HD version is whether the inputs are limited or virtually unlimited (no one can use 1000 inputs or even 1000 capture devices). Of course anyone would like to get a product for less than half the price, i'm no different, but i don't see how your proposed "medium" version was less usefull than the "full" versions in any (practical) way - so why should it cost less?

And really, people, 260€ for the unlimited version is a hell of a bargain already!

Now i wait for the first one to cry "fanboy"...

Dynamic input for images works great. Thanks! It also looks like you update on file change and not by a timer. Can you confirm this?

That was the idea when Martin proposed that feature in one of the feature request threads.

As has been discussed, the proposed Medium HD covers the requirements of over 90% of HD purchases.
So it is not very practical, besides the vMix pricing is already substantially cheaper than other products
so it doesn't make much sense to drop pricing even further.

Sportzcast: Yes, it uses file change notifications

ber142: Yes, this is a bug which will be fixed soon.

Martin

hello martin,

i used vmix preview 10.0.0.40 at my own risk on yesterday`s live service... the only thing that was not fine was a little unsync on external output audio delay (by my fault, wrong value), on v10 external output has some more delay than v9... nothing so bad... all other functions like mixing and recording (mp4 recording is simply amazing) worked perfect for me.

thank you martin for your hard work.

regards,
melody
