I’ve looked around a fair bit on this topic, and am fairly convinced there is no real answer to this, but could I just ask the forum…

Is it possible to schedule streaming (and recording) to start automatically, at a specific time?

Facebook Live permits this feature, and it would be terrific if it’s possible to hook the other end up with VMix.

Thanks!

I believe I have seen an updated to the vTask software. It is a 3rd party solution that can do what you want.

One idea is to create a scheduled task on your vMix computer and execute an API command to start recording or streaming.

These are good solutions. I created a piece of software that will do this as well.

This is how to Automatically Schedule a stream without buying any software. All Naturally through Windows.

1.Search for Task Scheduler in windows
2.Select on right side, create basic task
3.Name your task. Ex: Vmix Stream Schedule. Click Next.
4.Select the frequency of your stream. I personally do a weekly broadcast at my church. Click next then set the repeat frequency. Click Next again.
5.Under Action, the "Start a Program" radio button will be selected.. Click Next.
6.In the Program/Script text field, (Assuming you are using Chrome as a browser) enter: C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe. In the Add Arguments text field enter :http://127.0.0.1:8088/api/?Function=StartStreaming&Duration=1000 Click Next.

On the last screen, Press Finish.

You can find your Task in the list and force run to test it.
