Hi Everyone,
I am setting up a spreadsheet for team rosters and stats for a lower third. Right now my excel file has columns for:
Player # Player First name Player Last Name Home City Home State/Province
Is there a way to combine the "Player #, Player First Name, Player Last name" in one text field, and combine "Home City, Home State/Province" data in a second text field on the same title, or would I have to make a text field for each bit of data? I was a bit curious if the "Format" field (set at {0}) could do this in some way, but I've only managed to change the position of the text with that.
Thanks

As far as i know it is not possible to combine with the format field but: as you are setting up a spreadsheet yourself you could either combine the desired fields during creation or if the data needs to stay seperated for some reason you could add a collumn with a formula that combines multiple cells and choose that colum for displau in your title other option is let the title combine the data but is a bit more elaborate to prepare ( hidden fields that are combined to be displayed in the wanted text field ) by means of codebehind of the title been discussed here too : https://forums.vmix.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=11522we often receive spreadsheets or lists with data seperated dispite having asked to have them combined , so a quick combine column makes the later use to our desire practical and quicker rather than trying to let them change the source

Sorry for the double post. It looks like something similar was already discussed like you mentioned.
I could combine some columns, but would rather keep some of them seperated, such as player number. I never thought of a combining formula in the spreadsheet though. Sounds like a great idea.
Thanks very much
