its hard to say - it might work well given that the CPU may have H264 decode acceleration - but again its an unknown quantity.
We have seen that the HX drivers crash on some older macs (even if they can run the latest macOS) due to the use of unsupported CPU commands.
My guess is that it might run into some of the same problem with this Atom CPU.

So, with HX and this box performance is less of a consideration compared to simple compatibility.

you have to sort the two categories of extenders.
one is just using ethernet cable to send between the two boxes using proprietary signaling.
This conversion is usually fast, so minimal lag is expected.
the other one is a kind of h264 converter to IP and so is compatible with TCPIP network.
the second category has usually a noticeable lag due to the conversion (twice, one in each box), so it is hardly usable when mixed with other type of connection (HDMI, SDI or NDI).
unfortunately, the HX version of Newtek is in the 2nd category, the box is converting video to H264 streamed on network, and the driver just convert the stream to be seen as a NDI source.
the lag is conssiderably bigger than a full NDI chain.

both categories have their drawbacks and advantage, so one is not superior to the other.

Just to add to this: my clients frequently ask for a quick monitor to view the powerpoint they are presenting on the screen. they do not want to turn their heads away from public.

I am recording the pp with desktop capture ndi and was wondering if I can pick up that signal on my ipad and then show it. this way I have a fexible small monitor available to put on a table or something.

don't want to use a laptop, ipad would be great. Any ideas.

for now I have a small laptop lying around and will try that using vlc or the newtec monitor, but an ipad is preferred. the only apps i see is to use an ios for sending, not for viewing...
