HI !!
Great news !!
but Vmix also needs to have MXF file recording and quicktime recording encapsulators for better professional compatibility, like OSX video editors.
Please Martin, can you do it ? or is it very hard to implement ?
( just to remember that competition Records video to MPEG-2, avi, wmv, flv, mov and mp4 format )
Best regards,
PFBM

Quick question to @Matin...
Is vMix fast becoming programmers software or is it for everybody novice/experts that want to stream and switch cameras?
Can the implementation and usage of this vMix good programme be simple enough to have loads of users hence, people will prefer to go look for alternatives...
Thanks
Rottimmy

would like to see stinger option moved from overlay panel to add input panel on its own overlay channel and not take up one of the four overlay channels. could lable the tab as Stinger or have it as a check box when adding image sequence or video file.

It would be great to add the stinger option as part of transition, that will make it simpler to understand and operate by a lay man...

Some additional recording options will be added to vMix 10 including:
1. MP4 (H264 Video, AAC Audio) on Windows 7 and higher. (Note that H264 encoding requires a modern processor to encode in HD, Core i7 would be fine)
2. 64bit support for codecs such as GoPro CineForm, Lagarith, HuffYUV etc
I am investigating some options for MXF recording with the VC-3 codec (DNxHD) If possible, it will be added to the HD Pro version.
I will also look at improving the Stinger control options as suggested.
Regards,
Martin vMix

Great work as usual Martin,
If you solved the short delays from Vivotek IP-cameras and added all the last week’s announcements... I don’t have any more arguments… I'm soon a happy paying customer :-)
All your versions are always HUGE steps forward!! When can we get the first sneak prevue?
Thanks Best regards KKR

As a small preview, this is what the new Input Editor looks like in vMix 10: http://www.vmix.com.au/screenshots/input-editor.jpgA live preview is built in, and you can change the position of any item in the MultiView by dragging with the mouse and resize by shift-dragging. There is also a zoom bar to the right which can be used to take a closer look when setting up a chroma key. Regards, Martin vMix

admin wrote:vMix 10 is now well on the way to being completed!
Below is a preliminary list of the new features that will be available:
* New Output Options -Two indendently configurable outputs, 1. Fullscreen 2. Recordings and External Output -These Two outputs can be set to one of the following: --Output --Preview --MultiView (top half of screen Preview/Output, bottom half first 8 inputs) --Input (for example, configure fullscreen to show a single camera while recording the master mix)
Hi, been testing vMix only feature that is really missing is the ability to record video mix without overlays (logo, live sign etc) and have overlay only on external but not recording. Currently logo etc is burned in the high quality recording. Will new output have this option? This would help this post as well: http://forums.vmix.com.a...t.aspx?g=posts&t=650"During the live event I used two Vmix computers to produce: VMIX 1 for mixing / titels and recording ondemand output etc (main) and VMIX 2 for the livestream to Ustream (also running flash streamer). The two computers are connected through BM output and input cards. In this way I can seperate and record two different sets of output: VMIX 1 with the production and VMIX 2 live, with a ticker and special live overlays overlays etc. I will publish the recordings from VMIX 1 to youtube only because I don't want the live ticker and other live labels in the ondemand version."

Because I found no information about what you buy with a registration key, will this be a free update from version 9? It would be very helpful to have some information about the registration key or license on the website. What's included? Updates for new builds, updates for new versions, lifetime updates etc.....? Best regards from Germany Elmar

Hi Martin, More great news !
will it be possible to use more than one lcd monitors ,for example 2 or 4 , and select what do you want to see on each one ?
and.... well this is not a very easy thing.... i guess :) could there be more than one operator lets say one is doing the switching and the other one is doing effects , layers... graphics... etc.... now with the actual version you need to have 2 computers with vmix to do it.....
and also .... :) izotope still makes directx audio plugins they are great an it would be very nice to have a dymanmics control at the end of the chain:)
Best regards ,
PFBM

Awesome! I'm Lovin' vMix so far. Can't wait for v10. I'm running the free version currently, and am looking to purchase the HD version soon. BTW, any chance we could have a little more control in the playlist screen, by being able to call out specific files in a folder without adding each file as an input separately as requested here... http://forums.vmix.com.a...t.aspx?g=posts&t=914 ?

As I'm waiting for some of the new features to build my Scheduler app upon, I'd also like to know when we can expect vMix 10 - in june? this summer? this year? I'd also be ok with statements like "it'll take at least another month to complete" - just a ballpark number.
