Good morning! I am new here. I saw a topic on this subject, but there was no solution. Is it possible to open a live YouTube stream as input in vMix? I tried by "Input > Stream > RTMP", but it is just a stop-frame.

Hi You can PLAY any video from YouTube in vMix using the Flash/RTMP input type with this syntax : http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDEO_ID or you can use the webbrowser input too Guillaume

More about it : when ticking the "url includes app instance" box, then something shows up. Unfortunately the image indicates the reason why it no longer works. Makes sense btw... DWAM attached the following image(s): vMix Capture 13 novembre 2017 18-12-41.png (1,281kb) downloaded 18 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

Another working solution is to play the video in VLC with NDI plugin

VLC is unreliable. When it loses its connection for milliseconds, it throws a black image and does not connect again. Has anyone tried to extract from YT the rtmp address for transmission? Maybe it is possible?

I wrote, it's about live broadcasts. It is up to me to buy rtmp server, only offer up to 3mbps. Not too much.
