Hi,
Can anyone help me with understanding how to use AddInput Function, both in shortcut and API usage.
I would like to understand how to add RTMP streams via API.
Also is there is a way to reset the inputs automatically, either via api or a config setting, when an input looses connection to rtmp stream it does not automatically connect again, in the UI i can right click on the input and select reset, but theres no easy way to automate it or set it to auto retry.
Good bit of software!
Thanks
Niall

The AddInput function in the API only supports the following formats:
Video Image Photos Xaml
To load a video, an example request would be:
http://localhost:8088/API/?Function=AddInput&Value=Video|C:\video.wmv
To add an image the request would be:
http://localhost:8088/API/?Function=AddInput&Value=Image|C:\image.jpg
I will add this information to the help file.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for the quick response. Could I possibly get RTMP streams via API added to the feature request list? Should I raise a thread in the other board?
Would you be able to give any input on the second half of my problem. Resetting the RTMP streams. Currently if a RTMP stream loses connection to vMix the input freezes. I quite like the fact it doesnt just go black but when the connection comes back it requires a manual reset on the input to get it to work again.
I was hoping there was a way to reset them via the API if there was no way to make it automatic, would this be something you would consider for a later release?
Best regards Niall
