Hello,
How exactly can I connect Vmix to a locally running Wowza streaming engine instance?
I found some tutorials piping Vmix to VLC and using VLC to stream to Wowza, but this sound quite complicated, given that e.g. Wirecaster allows direct streaming to a local Wowza engine instance. I see Wowza Cloud in Vmix, but Wowza private instance is a locally running Wowza engine on the same machine (e.g. if I stream from VLC I would stream UDP-legacy to 127.0.0.1)
So is there a way to directly stream form Vmix to locally running Wowza engine instance, and if so, what would be the setup? I could not find instructions anywhere and I searched the forums for Wowza.
Thank you.

Not sure if it is the same thing but I have a WOWZA instance out on Amazon AWS that I stream to from VMix. And from there I distribute to multiple providers at once. Is this what you are looking at doing? I set it up 2 years ago, and I don't recall exactly how I did it, but if this is what you are looking to do, I may be able to help.

you should be able to do an rtmp feed.
Try rtmp://127.0.0.1/live
then insert key name.

Yes exactly that, but instead of running wowza on AWS, it will be run locally (localhost).

You need to set up a custom RTMP
If you didnt mess with the default option it should be rtmp://127.0.0.1/live
Use anything as a key, and the auth options depends on your configurations as well. Locally I usually remove input security in wowza so I don't have to input user/PW in vmix.
Good luck.
