The WiFi on the Spark unit is 2 x 5db 2.4G/5G dual-band antennas IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n

I would highly recommend wireless-N and it should be a multi antenna unit. Look for a high performance WiFi unit, not your cheap $29 no name single antenna blue-light special. (Do people know what blue-light specials are anymore?)

Spark supports either digital audio on the HDMI/SDI input or you can feed it analog via the mini stereo connector (which also offers a pass-through).

Kane, let us know if there will be any promotions or multi-buy discounts. Some of my Magewell capture units are over 3 years old I'm worried they will stop working soon so I'm keen to invest in NDI vs Capture cards which I think are "The Walking Dead"

I don't have a dealer, Overall I find dealers to be unhelpful in Australia. (not speaking about Newtek ones, never used a Newtek dealer, I like Vmix sorry Kane, I'm good with building my own PC).

They seem to mark up products and don't want to know me when there is a problem with the product and they are held accountable. Sorry it's rare to find a dealer in Australia who adds value these days. They are usually less informed than I am, which frustrates me as the point of them making the 20%+ commission on the way through is to be more knowledgeable, take care of returns and shipping issues. Essentially I pay them to save me time. If they cost me time, why should I pay them.

I've lost respect for most re-sellers or dealers. I do sometimes find some who blow my socks off, but they are rare. Most seem to be box movers who I can immediately pick up they have never used a product and often that leads to miss information being spewed out in their sales focus BS that greatly ignores the practical applications of deploying a product. I'm IT focused so maybe that is why I have this view.

I'm more of a buy, try, speak with the maker if the specifications are rubbish. Put on ebay if I don't like it or buy more if I do like it kind of person these days. Of course research stuff on forums like this as they are usually very truthful in their assessments. Not really possible with a product that has been released yet and I hate being the first/early user, but sometimes you need to get a jump on your competition. It's fair to say being an early adopter prepares you for fault finding down the track, but does suck up so much time.

I guess for Newtek selling technically complex products a dealer can make a big difference to those not into IT. My theory is if I can configure Linux box from a CLI quite proficiently, your product is broken if I can't figure it out after reading manuals and online resources :)

I use Ubiquiti AC Pro's myself. While I'm pretty happy with them , I did recently note that Tim Higgins at Small Net Builder noted that their 2.4 GHz performance is lackluster.
