Hope that in the future vMix will allow streamers to select the audio source they want to use in vMixCall.

AFAIK it already does

callers can select the source of their choice, either a simple mic, or a line input fed by an external mixer for example, or theu can use a virtual mixer like VoiceMeeter to be able to switch/mix audio sources

vMix producers can use Master or Bus A or Bus B which allows to send pretty much every possible combination of audio sources to remote guests.

Having 1, 2 or 10 soundcards doesn't really make a difference. It's all a matter of audio routing.

But as opposed to Skype, vMixCall doesn't need audio to be routed externally from vMix and there is no need to handle manually the mix minus. So it's much more simple!

So I don't understand what is your problem here. Could you be a little more specific? What is your exact problem considering that what you're asking for is already possible with vMix (and if I remember it well Tom already helped you setting this up some weeks ago).

It truly is a pity that you haven't clearly stated your goal, or the problem that your trying to solve.

vMix call is a brilliant piece of work. It circumvents a tremendously complicated setup that I had to use when doing exposes on fledgling webrtc services for http://vuc.me.

I did that various ways over a period of years, from the very inception of webrtc.

We still get forced into it sometimes, like this coming week when we'll be talking to Dr Richard Stallman, who insists on only using "free software." That means no YouTube, Livestream, Ustream, etc.
