Hi guys, I have a portable live setup using a laptop (Asus G751JY I7 4720-GTX980M) with a Panasonic HC-X1000 camera connected through a BlackMagic mini recorder to the Thunderbolt port on the PC. I do race venues and I'd like to add a mobile 2nd camera to the setup. Is it possible to use a wifi enabled camcorder and a wifi capture device to accomplish this? Also, what hardware would be needed? I did some searching and this particular setup info didn't seem to have been discussed. If it has, my apologizes and, could you direct me to the thread.

@ Beauwulf

Welcome to the forum!
Certainly a lot of discussion on this and related topics in just the last month:

If you search through the forums for "wireless" you should be able to find threads that deal with your specific query or at least put you onto the right track as to where and what you need to look into and research accordingly.
Hope that helps some.

You may want to look into the Teradek Bolt for wireless transmission.

Thanks M8! That's quite a bit out of my budget range ATM though...

@ Beauwulf

There are less 'Professional' (and perhaps less reliable) and cheaper options out there if you are creative and adventurous.
(not sure if you've searched the forums but I've found some more threads that are probably right up your alley)

vMixCall with a cell phone may also be an option if wireless internet is available.
