I am trying to set up vMix to have a stream from a camera as my input. I went to Add Input, selected More and then selected the option for Stream. I next selected RTSP over UDP and entered the address for my camera of rtsp://10.1.10.200. I also tried it as rtsp://10.1.10.200/1 to signify which stream to use. In both cases, I get the following error:

500 Internal Server Error
AddNewInput

I've included a screenshot of the error that I am getting.

The camera that we are using is a PTZOptics PT12x. I am running vMix v19.0.0.37 on a Windows 10 machine.

Any help that can be provided would be appreciated.

As a note, I can pull the stream into XSplit and then use XSplit as an input in vMix, but I'd rather eliminate that one step, if possible.

Thanks,
Merg

normaly you also need the port and the stream name
for my stream:
rtsp://192.168.1.155:1935/live/myStream
or
rtsp://xxx:1111@192.168.2.9:554/stream
on the other IP Cam

works perfect

@ The Merg

The vMix help page list's it this way:

Quote:
Stream Type

RTSP over UDP / RTSP over TCP

RTSP based sources such as the Teradek Cube and IP Cameras

Enter the URL in the following format: rtsp://0.0.0.0/stream1

Transport Stream over UDP

Select this option if a Transport Stream is being sent directly to the vMix machine over UDP

Enter the port number of the stream

Transport Stream over TCP

Selecting this option sets up vMix as a TCP server that can accept connections from remote streams
Enter the port to listen for connections

Transport Stream over TCP Pull

Select this option to connect to a remote Transport Stream server such as the Teradek Sputnik using the TCP protocol.
Enter the hostname and port of the remote Transport Stream server

Hope that helps some.

Have you used the PTZ Optics IP Address Settings Tool to change the IP address of the camera? That's generally what needs to be done first. Here's the tool: http://cdn2.hubspot.net/...ddress_Settings_Tool.zip

Otherwise the RTSP address you are using (rtsp://10.1.10.200/1) is in the correct format to use with vMix and PTZ Optics cams.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
