Stream is PROGRAM so you have it by default

For other media, simply play your video files from another computer, for example with NDI plugin for VLC, then these video files can be shared over multiple computers with NDI

Sorry: a "Stream" as input is not always program

Ok, it was not obvious to understand you... ;o)
No vMix won't turn a stream input into NDI but VLC will, so same method as for media files... VLC plugin for NDI is what you need.

Do you mean I can get the stream (from RTMP/RTSP Server) with VLC and NDI Plugin and get the NDI to vMix?

Hi,

Can you all describe where and how you would like to use the external outputs?
This will determine how possible it is to add something like this as there are a lot of system constraints involved in adding more outputs
(much easier to add inputs due to the way graphics cards work!)

Regards,

Martin
vMix

I would use them to create external NDI feeds of any given input. Eg, I could have a replay operator with 2 NDI externals - 1 for 4-way multi-view of replay cameras, 1 for replay-A.

I would also use NDI external for the built-in multi-view for a switching operator.

I would also use NDI external for PREVIEW and existing PROGRAM views.

I like to use EXT-2 for my Zoom / vMix caller return video - this way I can send them a view of me instead of themselves when they are full screen.

I would also use it to send different return feeds to individual vMix callers - eg, send multi-view, prev/prog etc for low bandwidth monitoring devices - eg tablets.

I could possibly use 12 simultaneous outputs :-), subject to enough processing power in my system. I'm running a powerful 8 core machine @ 4Ghz, 32Gb Ram, GTX980 Graphics.

Oh I'm running vMix Pro.... Just upgraded from 4K.

Hi Martin,

Virtual outputs (as you outlined in the fun time show) to use for NDI and vMix Call, is exactly what I need.

vMix 19 is Fantastic! Thank You.

I would like to request more fullscreen outputs.

We have an event coming up where we need 3 full screen outputs:

(1) Full screen program output for the lighting guy's monitor and green room TV.
(2) Multiview monitor for director, director's assistant and titling person.
(3) Stage projectors - We need to program vMix to show a static logo or pattern while people are performing but when we play a video or cross live to the green room we need to remove the static image and project the program.

Yes I know I could use a decklink to output but we are using all eight ports of our decklink (8 cameras) and we have plenty of outputs on our graphics card (980ti)

We currently use the 4K version and would be happy to pay to upgrade to the PRO version to get extra full screen outputs.

Here is an example of the show we do each year, it's where Newcastle personalities learn how to dance over a 6 week period to raise money for the Cancer Council and we live stream it.

Hi

you can already do this with vMix 4K. All you need is a couple of splitters to replicate PGM and MVW outs. Or simply use NDI.
For the stage monitor switching, you simply need a laptop with 2 monitors: on the first one I'd use vMix UTC to make the switches for EXTERNAL2, on the second one I'd use NDIMonitor connected to EXT2 NDI feed.
Check this post where I show how to use vMix UTC as an independant switcher for EXT2: https://forums.vmix.com/...ts&m=34998#post34998

Another option is to use NDIRouter from Zenvideo ( www.zenvideo.co.uk )

Hope this helps

Hi.

I used Vmix 4K with 3 outputs to 3 LED screens in an indoor stadium. Centre hung, under belly and the fascia ribbon. See enclosed photo.

It is a hassle to control 1 output via program output and the other 2 output manually.

Have to use shortcut keys just to switch for the other 2 outputs.
