A lot of graphics cards only have 2 H264 encoders.
If you run out of encoders when you hit the "Record" button it falls back to CPU encoding so everything continues on smoothly.
However, if I try running say 3 livestreams at once, I get a weird error.
Please allow live streams to automatically fallback to CPU encoding if all encoders on the GPU are in use.
Eg 1: If I click RECORD then STREAM it will use hardware encoding for recording and for ONE of the live streams and for the remaining streams it falls back to CPU.
***OR*** Can 1 single encode process be used for multiple streams of the same bitrate/resolution?

Someone else is having this issue here: https://forums.vmix.com/...p;m=35390&#post35390Just bumping this thread :) It would be great if streaming or recording falls back to CPU encoding once the GPU encoders are all in use. Thanks Martin!!

Any news on this? When streaming to multiple CDN's using the same encoding profile, do vMix really need to encode the same bits to the same bits several times?

I wonder if the frame tearing I encounter with GPU-encoded recordings has something to do with this. Once I switch to CPU, the artifacts go away.
