I am, having issues getting a camera to display in widescreen in the software. I am using a Magewell XI100DUSB-HDMI adapter with a Sony SRG-300SE camera. It shows up fine in other capture software but not vmix. It comes in as a 4:3 aspect. I checked the settings of Vmix and I have output set to 1920 x 1080 and output aspect set to widescreen. Camera resolution is set to 1920 x 1080. Is there something else I am missing? thanks in advance for any help

Hi
is it only vMix or all softwares ?
Did you try with VLC for example or Magewell USB Capture Utility ? Do you have the same issue with them?
Can you try this cam on another capture device in vMix ? As the case may be, what happens?

Make sure when you add the camera via the camera input it is in the correct resolution i.e. 1920x1080 and the correct frame rate.

Thanks for all the replys. It is really weird because it shows and records fine in the Magewell capture utility. When I bring it into vMix it shows like a squished 4:3 aspect . When i look at a recording that I did in that way and go to the property of the clip it shows it is 1920 x 1080 but the aspect is 4:3. i verified the setttings of the camera output and they are all correct. At 1920 x 1080 output at 29.97 FPS. I will take some screen shots and post.

**Resolved** I don't know what it was that was causing the issue but I decided to uninstall vMix, reboot and reinstall and it is fine now. Aspect is as it should be. Very strange. Thanks again for all the replies.
