Hello!

I have set up a new system from scratch, very excited to use 8 inputs.

Using Decklink Quad 2 Duo with 4/16 software downloaded from Blackmagic.

Inputs 1-4 are working, but when I try to add inputs 5-8, I get the error:

Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.

Anyone experience this and know the solution?

Thanks!

You have to set it up in the desktop video app. If you are not sure how to do it look here: http://documents.blackma...Desktop_Video_Manual.pdf

Your answer is right, but incomplete (I had found the solution before I saw your response). For anyone else with this issue, have a look here:

http://www.vmix.com/know...k-quad2-to-be-8-channels

This is why I hate hidden interface elements. I had no idea there were additional elements to scroll to, because there was no scroll bar. I needed to set the mapping of the ports (not sure why it isn't this way by default) so that each port goes with a unique connector, instead of in pairs.
