Hi!

I quite don't understand what you're expecting from this?
This device and vMix are concurrent: they both are video switchers.

If your idea is to use Roland as a control device for vMix, it's quite strange.

It can be used as pre-switcher for HDMI inputs for sure with vMix doing everything else (rec/stream/graphics/etc) but I really don't see why this would be related to Roland midi settings...

Use it like X-keys, perhaps X-key is better for use as control device for switch angles?

Ok this is what I had understood, hence my surprise...

Now what device would you connect your cameras to? This one or vMix PC ?

Mostly, you would use the MIDI to control the Roland V-1HD remotely, but it does allow for MIDI output by setting MIDI OUT to out. So if you have the V-1HD presently, put it on that setting and then see if you can setup Shortcuts in vMix using the find key option.

If you haven't purchased the Roland, an X-keys would be a much better control option for vMix. If you want to use the Roland V-1HD for camera switching and vMix for everything else that should work. However the use of MIDI OUT from the Roland to vMix probably would have very limited functionality using them together.

Hi, I would look for X-keys then. I have watched some videos on Youtube and it looks it's very easy to setup.

Thanks for great answer.

If you connect your cams to Roland and add X-Keys for vMix, in the end, you have 2 control devices + a keyboard...
Maybe you can simply switch cams on Roland and use your keyboard (for some shortcuts if you really need shortcuts) or simply your mouse to control vMix...
