The MPEG-2 Encoder requires Windows Media Center to be installed on this version of Windows

Yes, that is correct. You will need to install the Media Center Pack which is now an optional purchase for Windows 8. Search google for the Media Center Pack for Windows 7 for more information.

This is not a bug, Microsoft moved MPEG-2 recording support to the Windows 8 Media Center Pack. You can install the media center pack or choose another recording option such as AVI.

Regards,
Martin vMix Hi Martin good job as usual, question for you, i notice whenever i set the recording in setup to reset/restart every 10 min there is a number of drop or lost frames in the video clips. ex. if someone is speaking and the recording restarts the the sentence or word gets cut off and throws the sentence off in a bad way. Is there a way to setup vmix so i can have those clips cut without loosing the flow of what is being said or sang?
