I am trying to open an MP4 video file and I'm getting an error message asking me to install Haali Media Splitter, which I did and I still can't open the file. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I did, but I want to mix two video files, I don't think VLC can do that but I was under the impression that vMix can.

hi,
You should install Matroska Splitter http://haali.su/mkv/

I had the same problem, and that was a solution :)

As mentioned the Haali Media Spliter is all that is required to play back mp4 files under Windows 7.
If you are using Windows XP I would recommend upgrading to 7/8 or you will need a 3rd party H.264 codec installed.
