In testing the latest v18 build I noticed that the mpeg-ts files that I have previously created were not playing audio in vMix. In VLC all is fine. Other files (mp4, wav) are fine. I then tested in v17 and discovered the same behavior. This must have been around for a while but as I convert the .ts files to mp4 for upload in Handbrake I had not noticed the issue. Is this as per design?

Playing back a MPEG-TS file in vMix 17.0.0.112 at this moment with audio. There must be another issue.

Thanks for checking. Was this a file created by vMix? Have checked all I have created for the last few months. All have sound and can be played OK outside of vMix.

Are you using Windows 7? If you are, then you will get no audio playing back in vMix 17. The laptop I was using has Windows 8.1 Pro. I just tested with my desktop that has Win 7 and vMix. There's no audio.

I believe Martin mentioned this when he was on Tom Sinclair's show.

Nope, all Win 10AE. Have tried with the same files on a number of machines/vMix builds.

To play back MPEG TS audio, you may need to install the AC3Filter. See: http://www.vmix.com/knowledgebase/article.aspx/14/no-audio-when-playing-certain-video-files-and-dvds

This fixed the issue for me a while back when I had this problem.
