I did a clean Windows 7 32bit install with vMix 17.0.0.112 and sometimes when vMix is starting I get this error:

Recording timed out waiting for first frame error / Streaming.start.buffer_WFF (I did send error report)

(I do not use recording, when I click close, vMix is working OK)

What is going wrong?


I also noticed this application warning when vMix is started, but I understand from older threads that it can be ignored:

This error means the graphics card has stopped responding.
In the error report there are a number of other programs running including radmin, so try uninstalling that first as it can interfere with the graphics.

Then also try:

1. Making sure latest Nvidia driver is installed
2. Setting Windows 7 to "Aero" theme

I've set aero theme and desktop composition is enabled, but I've disabled transparent glass and aero peek to save cpu, should I enable them?

Are you starting the stream through some kind of script?
Streaming needs vMix to be fully initialized before starting, so maybe it only happens when it is started too quickly?

Yes, I'm using a script that is waiting for 15 seconds, but sometimes vMix is starting realy slow.
I will increase it to 30 seconds.

You may need longer than that depending on the number of inputs that are being loaded and the type of inputs. I would give it a minute or two to be safe.
