Hello, We have been running into some consistent issues with the following hardware and VMIX:
Intel Core i5-4330 Asus Z97 - not sure specifically 8GB DDR3 Corsair RAM AMD Radeon R9 200 series Corsair CX750
Windows 10 Pro x64
We would like to be able to run VMIX on this machine, however every time we start the program up, VMIX instantly uses all 8GB of RAM and causes the computer to stop working completely. The only way for us to get control of the computer back is to force a shut down by holding the power button. We have tried many things to get VMIX up and running but no luck.
Things we have tried: Graphics Driver Re-install VMIX re-install Running VMIX as admin Running VMIX in compatibility mode with Win 8 or Win 7 Disable/Enable on-board Intel GPU
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening or how to fix this?
Thanks for your time!

VMix with no inputs should only use approx 100mb ram. I have Asus z97 Deluxe motherboard. Is Vmix using the AMD GFX card? or motherboard Inter HD in settings? but I see that you tried disable the on-board graphics. I would recommend a Nvidia Card though. Is Windows fully patched. There are some bugs in the August Anniversary update.

I've got the same issue. Same thing no matter which version of vmix I install (v15 through v18 beta). Was working fine the last time I had it running about a month ago. vMix x64 does this memory thing. vMix x86 gives the splash screen then closes. Error before it crashes is something to do with D3D (happens too quickly to see), but did manage to hit 'submit' on the error report. This is the windows event viewer log: v18 beta Code:Faulting application name: vMix64.exe, version: 18.0.0.52, time stamp: 0x5812e323

I have this same problem starting vMix. I have confirmed that all system memory is taken up and vmix "out of memory error" cites D3D as the issue.
I am running a Radeon R360. Vmix opened properly using AMD drivers dated mid-August 2016. Vmix will not open and throws this error after upgrading to the most current AMD driver (which of course windows automatically installs).
The problem went away after rolling back to the mid-August driver.
Please fix this problem, appears to be related to a memory leak opening D3D on current Radeon drivers.

Will there be a fix to this problem in vmix?
Windows forces the newest drivers so rolling back is not an option.
Also, this problem persists through several driver releases by AMD going all the way back to mid-August. Vmix is the only program on my computer which has an issue with current AMD drivers.
