I am trying out vMix and have installed the Basic 7.5.0.35 version. I love the sofware but I am having difficulty in getting videos to playback properly. I have included the image below to show everyone what I mean. I have tried adjusting every setting that I can and nothing changes. The only video files that I have gotten to play correctly are Motion Jpegs in an avi container. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If this doesn't work then it would appear the graphics is not able to run vMix. Regards, Martin vMix

I can hear the audio but there is no video at all. Does this mean that my laptop just can't run vMix?

I had a similar issue with a mainboard with integrated graphics and had to go for a real high end card and a new motherboards. It will be interesting to know what laptop can handle this program. Rob

I downloaded the latest version of vMix from the link you provided and the video doesn't even show up on the input window. I have tried numerous different video files (wmv, mp4, etc.) and only one actually works for me and that is the Motion-Jpeg in an AVI container. I found a program called SUPER that will encode videos in this format, so it looks like that will have to be my workaround for now. Thanks for all the help guys. I have tried choosing the video decoders but it never made a difference, so I just have it set to auto.

So for anyone that might be curious, it is possible to run vMix with a Lenovo T500 laptop. Thanks to everyone for helping this newbie figure this out.

WMV files played fine outside vMix but got a black screen in vMix until I went to EVR mode. Thanks.
