What you should do is use the search function for topics on Skype, ..there are posts that will point you where you may want to go... This is from an old vMix post.... Using vMix for the Skype camera is pretty easy. Everything is done with 1 computer. 1. Start vix and add you inputs. Do NOT import any audio into vMix 2. Start the external output in vMix (bottom center button) 3. Open Skype; add your camera (vMix) and add your audio source for the Skype.. Here is a link to a video using vMix with Skype on a single PC....

Thanks for the reply - - But for reasons that should seem logical - the first thing I did was watch the video from the company that makes the program... and took that as gospel - - not to think to say - - maybe I should look at the forums too.. I think the issue here w your set up - I am currently not mixing my computer into my mixer - I am using a setup that was shown online - on how to set up audio - and now am being told that it's not the right way. The issue w switching over - is then - my xsplit setup won't work... and we have shows taping in here daily. and being that I am still stuck on several issues w vMix - I can't make the switch just yet - I had hoped to be able to setup the layouts for the 8 shows here - -- on vMIx - so that the transition would go super smooth - - - Bandit62 wrote:What you should do is use the search function for topics on Skype, ..there are posts that will point you where you may want to go... @ iamralphsutton I realize we have a couple of threads going on right now, but I thought I would post this here now for future reference for you to look at when you have the time... It's a little dated (pre-vMix17) but should still be relevant for setting up Skype calls with a single PC: http://forums.vmix.com/d...ts&m=11167#post11167Once again, don't rush into this, and make sure you do ample testing before changing your workflow from x-split, otherwise you are just asking for trouble and frustration. OK - that's at least something I need to consider. No, it does not, unless you never had whatever ......one PC, one correct setup, and knowing what to do......simple....Think vMix, and NOT xSplit

link to a pretty clear way to set up a Mix-Minus... I watched this - But the question is this - -- How am I streaming this - - If I am sending it back to the computer without the computer audio - when I stream it - the stream won't have the audio that is played from the computer - right? This guy - records into a mp3 recorder to record the mix - - so that he gets the computer recorded. I am sending everything back to the computer I want to record on - - so it won't have the audio from the computer on it right?
