This is interesting. I rebuilt my vMix system to Win10 and am encountering a new problem with local recording (I haven't tried streaming yet.)
When I display a full-frame .jpg graphic, cross-fading from a live camera, heavy compression artifacts will appear in the recorded file, tearing the lower third of the frame. These artifacts persist after cross-fading back to the live camera. They eventually disappear. This issue doesn't appear in the live display of the switcher.
I've been using variations on this project file for months without issue.
I attached the project file with which I encountered these issues, the first to use with Win10.

EDIT: More info. I created a simple project with four 1080p graphic images. The compression artifact persists.
EDIT: More. The compression artifacts appear in mp4 recordings but not wmv.
EDIT: Reducing the MP4 data rate delays or eliminates the artifacting. The frequency of artifacts is the same when recording to different drives. (This is the same system I've been using for vMix since 2012.)
EDIT: Here's the log of one of the problem files:

EDIT: The FFMPG MP4 recording has no problems.
EDIT: This could be caused by incorrect SATA drivers for my motherboard.
