Hello,

Im want to use the following configuration in vMix:
1. all production in 1080@50i
2. 4 camcorders via 4 intensity pro
3. 4 video delays
4. fullscreen
5. external out via 1 additional intensity pro

At this point I have MSI GT620 PCIE 1GB GDDR3 DVI+HDMI+VGA LP graphic adapter which produces render time of 50ms for this setup. The integrated Intel HD 4000 has even worse results.

The question is what should I look for in a graphic adapter to be able to accomodate my vMix configuration? There are many variables such as cuda cores, mhz, memory, memory type, which are of the most importance?

Currently I have the following options available for one slot cards (preffered to save space for another intensity pro) but I guess the list could be extended if there are some good suggestions.

1. HP AMD Radeon HD 6570 1GB PCIe x16 DH 2xDP 1xDVI-I QP027AA link
2. Dell ATI FirePro V4800 490-12504 link
3. HP NVIDIA Quadro 600 1GB PCIe x16 Card WS093AA link

Which card would be best suited for my config? Also I could consider 2-slot cards if absolutely necessary. Some options:

1. Leadtek GeForce GTX 550 Ti, 1GB GDDR5 (192 Bit) GTX 550 TI 1024MB REV:B link
2. Powercolor Radeon HD 6850, 1GB DDR5 (256 Bit), HDMI, DualDVI AX6850 1GBD5-DH link

Thanks,
Dundurs

Probably fastest single slot card out there at the moment is the Zotac GT640

http://www.zotac.com/index.php?product_id=477&page=shop.product_details&category_id=181&flypage=flypage_images-SRW.tpl-VGA&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=100305&lang=en&vmcchk=1&Itemid=100305

The GTX 550 Ti is also a good choice for something a bit more powerful.

Can it satisfy my needs of full HD 4cam+delay production? What render time should I expect from this card?

I'm using a PNY GeForce GTX 560ti with three 720p HD cams, no delay, no sync issues.

Famous Pictures, thanks for suggestion. Is it this one url ?
Core count is the same, mhz is a bit less, memory is 2x less but more powerful compared to Zotac. I guess Zotac should also do the trick. By the way what is your average rendering time?

Review and comments about price/performance ratio of GT640 from here are are all going one way :)

Martin, if I were to consider HD7750 (supposedly much better for the same price compared to Zotec, for example this one I think is a single slot card) or HD6670 (still better for lower price according to some comments and also the tech spec), is there any argument for nVIDIA instead of ATI?
