Hi Martin,
The "virtual sets" have by default three cameras and other added by editing the file "config.xml", using the parameters (x, y, zoom) of the "Virtual Set Zoom Editor." A "save" button in the "Virtual Set Zoom Editor" help better. Clicking this button, new cameras would be included under the name "cam, cut, user" or another.
I created a new "virtual set" based on an existing. I changed the position of elements on the screen preview saved the "preset" and used the parameters of positions by opening the "preset" the notepad, then write these values in the file "config.xml".
PS: It would be better "Vmix" record positioning adjustments made by the user, automatically in the file "config.xml" the Virtual Set
Option will save new "Virtual Sets" based on existing models?
Mauro.
Edited by me: topic "Virtual Set":
"Additional virtual sets will be made available in the coming months Vmix and a Virtual Set Builder is Currently Being considered."

Hi Martin,
Vmix tested shortcuts in my mobile browser and found it very good. I suggest that you put the same shortcut "Input + overlay." Run more than one function at a shortcut.
Another suggestion: The "Slideshow Setting" option to select audio for a run together.

Will the overlay border offer a soft drop shadow?

A drop shadow would be quite a complex feature and therefore will not be available at this time.

When using the "Fly" animation I'd love to have it fly out of the screen towards the upper right corner. I.e. not fly in the next, but let the active input fly out as if the preview-input had been lying beneath all the time.
This would be quite nice to give the viewer a consistent experience: at first additional imput (maybe an image or a short clip) flies in using the current "Fly" animation. Afterwards it moves itself out of the way again, using the "Fly Out" animation. So there's one logical 'flow' on the screen.
Would be greatly appreciated if you could do this! :)

Hi mh166,
You can achieve this with by setting the effect to Fly for one of the overlays. The overlay is designed to have the effect in/out.

Oh, that's nice to know. I wasn't aware of the effects behaving differently when used for an overlay. Great! I gues, that should fit my needs. =) But regarding events: API documentation states all shortcut-commands are available as API functions. Yet, I had no luck at using "Overlay1Input" as a API function, trying any possible naming. Therefore I'd like to know what the correct function for this is, on the one hand. OTOH, could you possibly introduce an API function called "ListFunctions"? This should return a JSON structure stating the name of the function, a tiny description and the possible params. E.g. like the following. Code:{
"Functions":[
{
"Name":"Fade",
"Description":"Apply 'Fade' transition",
"Params":[
"Input",
"Duration"
]
},
{
"Name":"Pause",
"Description":"Pauses playback of given input",
"Params":[
"Input"
]
}
]
}
That would be plain awesome!!!Regards, mh166

The OverlayInput1/2/3/4 functions can be used as follows:

Hi Martin,
First, thanks for the v4 version. I am very happy with the new delay stuff.
+1 for Mauro his suggestion.
If possible, please enable shortcuts to set the speed of replay (for the main output). It would be nice to set it for every possible speed, otherwise a key for speed-up and a key for speed-down is Ok.
Regards, Hanno.

Hello,
We have been testing the new version on around 10 different sites and are very impressed with the stability and new features. Some comments from me and other users:
1. Add possibility to use more than one output monitor (we often have cases when we want to take the advantage of DVI and HDMI output simultaneously - use a couple of monitors)
2. Add possibility to deinterlace on output monitor. we have cases when we stream interlaced signal to tv, but local monitor would require progressive input
3. Add checkbox to autostart-external vMix, making it possible to run vMix as autonomous service and only use the web interface or in our case external touch panel which sends HTTP requests to vMix web interface
4. Since introducing “built in audio” feature, when using two or three blackmagic intensity pro, the audio channels get mixed up. i think before this feature was introduced, everything worked fine when leaving audio drop down blank
5. Is there any way to increase video delay quality? it is lower than original video capture quality
6. After quicklplay swithcing to live input after delay there is a video freeze for a few ms during the transition. will send links to some samples via email
7. Is there any way to improve deinterlacing in vMix? currently to produce 25p progressive output we have to deinterlace twice - once in vMix and since there are still some artifacts, second time in FMLE. also the result is much better if we open the capture device in FMLE directly and deinterlace, so could it be that FMLE deinterlacing filter is better (commercial?) and therefore there might a be a room for improvement?
8. Add possibility to use two or more vMix instances simultaneously. this is useful for projects when we have one video input and we have to deliver two streams each with a different visualisation (for example, logotype). this however would involve at least three vMix since one would be used for “multiplying” the source video input for using eith other vMix instances

Hi Dundurs,
6. I've looked at the sample videos and can you tell me if Virtual GenLock was enabled for both cameras?
7. Can you provide a short clip that shows the deinterlacing artifacts?
Regards,
Martin vMix

6. Yes, the genlock was enabled, I was using blackmagic instensity pro. I can do some tests with genlock disabled.
7. I will prepare some clips and send some links later.

Trying without genlock will probably show more dropped frames as it is designed to prevent this from happening. What you can look at is the Virtual GenLock stats in the Input Properties window. If the numbers in brackets are unusually high (either over 20 such as (20,15)) then it indicates a system bottleneck somewhere. What are the specs of the machine being used? CPU, Graphics Card, Windows version? Thanks, Martin vMix

Ok, I will check out genlock stats.
The computer is i7, intel hd 4000, win7 64bit. I will upgrade to MSI GT620 PCIE 1GB GDDR3 DVI+HDMI+VGA LP today to see if it solves the problem. Is this video adapter ok for 4 cam full hd production with at least 4+1 delay?

Hi Dundurs, A GT620 is probably going to be even with or less than the Intel 4000 by the looks of reviews i've found. We're testing the Zotac GT640 at the moment with good results: http://www.zotac.com/ind...temid=100305&lang=enThe GT440 or GT540 are also good choices if you can find them. Regards, Martin vMix

I can't wait for v5, especially the edit text api would be great (to say the least)
i've been testing with v4 and found a few glitches (if they are that)
* output size (really happy with the new choices, fmle s*cks in resizing) 854x480 gives me a green bar in the right of the output ( 1 size larger , which i can't remember the values of, doesn't have this problem) * replay files that are saved from a 1920x1080 input are being saved as narrowscreen , i have to put the delay at 'widescreen' to have proper output. (other than that, 3 cheers for that option, it took a little getting used to, but boy what an option) * due to heavy use of above option, my input bars are filling up fast, and when i tried to scroll with the mousewheel it didn't, which makes production a bit hard, also because i haven't found a way to order inputs (i do mainly dragracing events, in which switch time is really an issue )
keep up the good work, 4 % cpu on an off the shelf i7-920 for mixing 720p is impressive.
