Hi,

Could you connect the HDMI output of the camera or DSLR on this network converter?

Hi

I have this devices in use.

Yes, you can connect your camera HDMI output to this device. They are using IP to transmit the signal, but it's a proprietary protocol. The protocol is not NDI! So you need the receiver on the other side to decode the stream (and convert it to HDMI again).

It's not possible to receive the stream directly in vMix.

You need a dedicated network, you cannot use an existing network infrastructure. If you want to use your existing network infrastructure you have to look for a HDbitT device like this: http://www.lenkeng.net/Index/detail/id/130.

The delay is about ~1000ms. Picture quality is not perfect, but quiet good (they use MJPEG compression).

Some more inside information about these devices:
https://blog.danman.eu/r...g-hdmi-over-ip-extender/

I use them to transmit vMix output HDMI Signal over longer distances, where delay is not important (for screens in other rooms for example).

Regards,
Patrick
