DirectX 10 is the recommended minimum for a graphics card.
This per the vMix website. Home - Software - System Requirements.
Hope there's another, better answer.

I thought it was directx 9.. is this because I'm using vmix 16 instead of 15 when I started out with this? BUT I believe directx 10 ships with win 10 64? I am cofused because this video card is working just fine on the windows 7 enterperise partition but not when booted to windows 10, hardware doesn't change just OS..

Hi,
The 945G is an old integrated graphics from Intel and is not supported by vMix for many years. (945G was launched in 2005)
Installing any mid range graphics card from the past few years will work well with vMix.
Regards,
Martin vMix

Yep, so I found out.. this was our old video capture to dvd/wmv pc, someone musta removed the videocard that was in it.. However, vmix is working on it in win7 and not win10 must be the driver version or something and I see no newer drivers for win 10. AND it's just so slow.. Thought it would be a good machine to dedicate to a live broadcasting mix machine.. I got it all working now in an oracle virtualbox on my i7 gonna spend a few days testing before going live with it..
