Hey,
I think about to buy the Sony PJ410 as a new cam for my greenscreen project. Has anybody experience with this cam via USB live?

Thanks

@ bluelagune

What is "USB Live"?
As near as I can figure, the USB 2 port is only for file transfers and charging...
A nice camera for sure, but I'm not familiar with what you might have heard about it, can you elaborate?

I have several similar Sony models (cx260, pj260). The only way to capture live output is via the composite or hdmi output.

At the Sony describtion stands there is a Live View Option. At a local store a shop assistant told me that there exists a possibility to stream via usb. But i havent heard about such an option bevore, thats why I am asking. Cause it sound a little bit to good... ( My budget has no space for a hdmi input card, thats why this option interessts me)
Coud anybody test this maybe with his cam?

Thank you very very much for help:D

The Sony PJ410 can stream to Ustream, but that seems to be with WiFi, and playing back a recorded video from the camera.

You should be able to find the complete user's manual online, then read about the live view option.

Are you using a laptop or a desktop with vMix?

Bluelagune, get a cheaper but similar camera like sony hdr 405 and usb grabber extremecap u3 http://www.ebay.de/itm/A...MI-USB-3-0-/281851485778
If you use normal pc (not laptop) then buy blackmagic mini recorder.

Dont count that options like live view or something like this on 350 eur camera will work well.
