I'm rendering videos from AfterFX for overlays and bugs. I've used HuffYUV and Lagarith so far (Magic YUV doesn't like alpha channels).

When I import these into vMix, even when I check the "this video has an alpha channel" box, the alpha channel isn't spotted or used.

When I drop them back into AfterFX, the alpha is there for sure.

Q: Is this normal in version 16? I notice that Lagarith *used* to work around version 9 :-)

For now I'm rendering as PNG sequences, which work, but it's a more painful workflow.

Any answers on if this should/shouldn't work, and what I might be doing wrong would be much appreciated, thanks :D

Hi,

It should all still work but it looks like Lagarith has gone through a lot of changes
since I looked at it last and it appears to have broken a few things.

Best to encode using QuickTime Animation or QuickTime PNG as these will work fine with alpha in vMix.

Regards,

Martin

Do you have a 'known good' version of Lagarith that should still work?
